We were incredibly fortunate to be visited by Mary Burgess, Librarian for the Cambridgeshire Collection, and Anne Thompson, former longstanding archivist at Newnham College, who came to view our precious archives spanning 40 years.

Cambridge Women’s Resources Centre items were of great interest and plans are in place for textiles, flyers, activities and photos to be catalogued, stored and eventually made accessible to the public.

Together with back catalogues of Spare Rib, print materials of books, feminist publications, pamphlets and press cuttings will also be catalogued in order to save the history of CWRC and share its impact and achievements throughout the decades.

It will be wonderful to document our journey as part of Cambridge history, in celebration of so many amazing women.
